Escondido is a city located in California, just north of the city of San Diego. The name means “hidden” in Spanish—it occupies a shallow valley ringed by rocky hills. Symptoms of Common Mental Health Issues
Manic depression symptoms (as found in manic-depressive disorder or bipolar disorder) involve bipolar signs and symptoms sets that are the opposite of each other. One involves a “high” set and the other a “low” set. These symptoms are found in a continuous range from mild to moderate to extreme. PTSD, otherwise known as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, is an anxiety disorder that can develop after exposure to one or more terrifying events in which grave physical harm occurred or was threatened. It is a severe and ongoing emotional reaction to an extreme trauma. It can be caused from wars, childhood abuse, 9/11 or any number of life’s traumatic events either personal or global.
For bipolar disorder, genetic factors contribute substantially to the likelihood of developing bipolar disorder, and environmental factors are also implicated. Bipolar disorder is often treated with medications, and sometimes other psychiatric drugs. Psychotherapy also has a role, often when there has been some recovery of stability. In serious cases in which there is a risk of harm to oneself; these cases generally involve severe manic episodes with dangerous behavior or depressive episodes with suicidal ideation.
